Forza Motorsport (unless it arrives beforehand #doubtful).I actually enjoyed this model a lot, and especially enjoyed some of the graphics that came afterward that showed all the titles coming to Game Pass over the coming 12 months.Īssuming they stick with the same 12 month outlook again, the announcements/reveals we'll probably/hopefully see in June are as follows: I expect to see the same format of covering and highlighting the next 12 months of releases, and of course GAME PASS, GAME PASS, GAME PASS. So I'd rather wait to see games much closer to their 'release' when they are more polished and more representative of the final product. We seem to be waiting ages for Starfield and people got very disappointed it was delayed, and now 'delayed' again - although the game is apparently finished and there were certainly 'issues' noticed in the first game-play reveal. ![]() If Avowed, State of Decay 3, Perfect Dark or Fable for example aren't likely to release before E3 2024, I don't really want to see them. What I really want is in depth looks at games we can 'expect' within the next 6-12 months and maybe a teaser or two of games that are likely to be 12-18months away. Personally, I expect Forza to release 'sooner' rather than later so if its not out by June, it will be out soon after but don't feel I need another 'showcase' to understand what the game is or what to expect. Contraband as a concept doesn't appeal (yet), Forza Motorsport is a known IP and unlikely to offer something 'new' - its more refinement and HBii seems like a 'next-gen' sequel - bigger and more refined - hopefully expanding on the things that worked well and reducing/tweaking some of the things that didn't work as well, but I still feel I know 'more' about HB2 than Avowed. I don't have any 'preferences' for a particular game - although I voted Avowed as its one that I want to know more about the most. We're very excited to see what the team has cooked up over the last six years or so anyway, and we shouldn't have much longer to wait! After January's Developer Direct failed to deliver a release date, we reckon Turn 10 needs to bring that info along this summer. One title that'll almost certainly be shown off in June is more of the new Forza Motorsport - unless we hear about it beforehand. who knows? Either way, we hope to see the final game sometime in 2024 and we certainly wouldn't be against a nice summer showing this year. Historically, Ninja Theory has brought this one to The Game Awards, so that may be the case again this year. The former of those is still shrouded in secrecy at this stage, and we'd definitely appreciate more information on Obsidian's RPG at Xbox's summer show.Īs for Hellblade 2, we're not sure what to expect there. Recent reports suggest that the next big Xbox games to launch after the planned 2023 lineup are Avowed and Hellblade 2. ![]() Yep, the annual Xbox Games Showcase hits on June 11th this year, and now that it's firmly marked in our calendars, we've begun thinking about what Xbox might show off. With the announcement of a date for Bethesda's upcoming Starfield Direct event, we also got confirmation on when Xbox's big summer conference lands in 2023.
